Overview of Role

We are building a new private equity platform that will officially launch in January 2026. The firm will primarily focus on the business services and technology services sectors in the US, while selectively pursuing high-growth opportunities in India. We are seeking to hire a Private Equity Analyst / Associate now to help lay the foundation.

The founding partner, based in the US, brings over two decades of lower middle market private equity experience with a tier-1 global track record. He has invested over a billion dollars across multiple platforms and scaled founder-led businesses into market leaders. His career spans leadership roles at globally recognized private equity firms and early training at a bulge-bracket investment bank.

The team combines deep investing expertise with hands-on operating experience, creating a differentiated playbook for scaling businesses through go-to-market acceleration, organizational buildout, automation, and corporate development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and refine firm infrastructure (website, CRM systems, investor materials, data rooms).
  • Benchmark comparable PE firms positioning; help craft a differentiated story and investor deck.
  • Develop databases of bankers, M&A advisors, and deal sources in both the US and India; support outreach campaigns.
  • Evaluate automation tools for deal sourcing, diligence, portfolio support, and investor relations.
  • Conduct sector and company research; support live deal diligence as opportunities arise.
  • Work directly with the founding partner on meeting prep, outreach, and strategic initiatives.

What We're Looking For

  • Pedigree: Graduates from IIMs, ISB, or other premier global institutions strongly preferred. Candidates without this background need not apply.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in investment banking, consulting, private equity, or asset management at tier-1 global firms.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and research/market analysis.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in unstructured, high-expectation environments.
  • Intellectual curiosity about private equity, business building, and cross-border investing.

Compensation

We offer a very competitive compensation package in line with top-tier opportunities. For the right candidate, this could be in the range of 25–40L+ annually, depending on experience and fit.

  • Title: Private Equity Analyst / Associate (Stealth Launch)
  • Location: India (remote with flexibility; close coordination with the US-based partner).
  • Timing: Immediate start; the firm launches officially in January 2026.
  • Engagement: Full-time preferred, but open to exceptional part-time candidates (e.g., final-year IIM/ISB students or professionals in transition).
