Job Summary:

ZOCA Diner is looking for a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our multi-cuisine restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring high-quality customer service, maintaining food and service standards, and driving revenue growth. You will act as the face of the restaurant, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.

Key Responsibilities:Operations & Service:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations including dining, kitchen, billing, and delivery.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Monitor service standards, food quality, and customer experience.
  • Handle guest complaints or issues with a focus on quick resolution and satisfaction.

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise service and kitchen staff.
  • Schedule shifts and manage manpower planning for busy and lean periods.
  • Conduct daily briefings, motivate the team, and maintain discipline and grooming standards.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback or disciplinary actions if needed.

Sales & Revenue:

  • Achieve monthly sales targets and control operational costs.
  • Monitor daily revenue, food cost, wastage, and inventory levels.
  • Upsell menu items, combos, and specials to improve average billing value.
  • Implement local marketing and promotion strategies in coordination with head office.

Hygiene & Compliance:

  • Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and safety protocols are followed (FSSAI, HACCP, COVID norms if applicable).
  • Maintain proper records of licenses, inspections, and audits.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and staff training on hygiene standards.

Reporting & Coordination:

  • Submit daily/weekly sales reports, inventory usage, and staff attendance to head office.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely stock replenishment.
  • Handle POS and billing software-related issues.

Requirements:

  • 4–6 years of experience in restaurant operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or assistant manager role.
  • Experience in multi-cuisine restaurants, casual dining, or premium cafés is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
  • Good understanding of inventory, food cost control, and P&L basics.
  • Comfortable working with POS systems, billing software, and basic Excel reporting.
  • Fluent in Hindi; Basic to intermediate English required.
  • Problem-solver with a guest-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Local candidate familiar with the city's food trends is a plus.

Work Schedule:

  • 9–10 hour shifts with rotational weekly off
  • Availability on weekends and public holidays is a must
