Role & responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Solid Edge, etc.)
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for manufacturing.
  • Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, electrical, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
  • Review and revise existing designs to improve performance or reduce cost.
  • Conduct design reviews and document all engineering changes. (For ISO Documents)
  • Ensure that designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations.
  • Maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials), design documentation, and product data management systems.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 45 years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Solid Edge)
  • Knowledge of GD&T and materials selection
  • Familiarity with design standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Exposure to or experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP) is a strong advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for technical meetings, client discussions, and on-site support as required.
