About the Role:

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Design Engineers specializing in HVAC, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems to join our expanding building services team. You will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical services for commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical ability in mechanical building services, BIM proficiency, and deep knowledge of the National Building Code (NBC) and relevant international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical building services systems (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection) in strict adherence to NBC guidelines, international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA), and industry best practices.
  • Create, manage, and coordinate 3D BIM models using Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and relevant mechanical design software.
  • Perform calculations, sizing, and energy modeling for HVAC, water supply, drainage, and fire safety systems.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, structural engineers, and fellow MEP professionals for clash-free, integrated designs.
  • Lead clash detection and resolution for all mechanical services.
  • Prepare construction drawings, work schedules, and technical documentation for mechanical systems.
  • Provide technical support and consultation for construction and site teams.
  • Actively participate in BIM coordination meetings to improve mechanical design processes and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical building services design (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection).
  • Proficiency in BIM tools: Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks.
  • Strong familiarity with NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and related codes and standards.
  • Excellent teamwork, analytical, and communication skills.
  • LEED/IGBC accreditation is a plus.
