Job Summary:

The Unit Finance Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operations of the hospital unit. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, financial discipline, and timely reporting across key areas including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, TDS, GST, Doctors' Payouts, Billing, Cash Flow, and Fund Flow. The position will also play a critical role in driving cost optimization, financial controls, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Operations & Accounting

  • Oversee day-to-day financial activities of the unit.
  • Manage
    AR, AP, General Ledger, reconciliations, and monthly closing
    .
  • Ensure timely and accurate posting of transactions.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure proper computation and filing of
    TDS, GST, and other statutory requirements
    .
  • Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital finance SOPs and corporate guidelines.

3. Doctors' Payouts

  • Manage
    consultant payout calculations
    , validation, and disbursement.
  • Ensure payout accuracy as per contracts and maintain transparency.

4. Billing Oversight

  • Monitor
    IPD, OPD, and emergency billing
    processes.
  • Ensure correct tariff application and minimize revenue leakage.
  • Support billing audits and resolve discrepancies.

5. Cash Flow & Fund Flow Management

  • Manage daily
    cash flow planning
    , bank transactions, and fund availability.
  • Oversee petty cash, collections, deposits, and cash handling controls.
  • Prepare fund flow statements and forecast financial needs.

6. Management Reporting

  • Prepare and submit timely
    MIS reports, variance analysis, revenue reports, and expense tracking
    .
  • Support budgeting and financial planning activities.

7. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead and guide the unit finance team.
  • Collaborate with operations, HR, supply chain, billing, and corporate finance teams for smooth functioning.

8. Cost Control & Process Improvement

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and adherence to policies.
