Roles and Responsibilities

What You'll Own:

• End-to-End Rider App Experience – Own the entire design journey for our 20,000+ strong rider network, from onboarding and slot booking to incentives, performance tracking, and engagement.
• Rider-Centric Workflows – Simplify complex operations into clear, intuitive flows that riders can trust and adopt daily.
• Research & Insights – Lead rider research, interviews, and usability tests across Tier 1–3 cities to capture the realities of gig work and translate them into actionable design decisions.
• Design System for Rider Platform – Create and evolve a scalable design system that ensures consistency across Android-first app experiences.
• Gamification & Motivation – Design nudges, pulsing strategies, and reinforcement mechanisms to keep riders engaged, motivated, and rewarded.
• Collaboration with Product & Ops – Work with Product, Engineering, and Operations to influence roadmaps and ensure designs are practical, delightful, and measurable in business impact.
• Mentorship & Standards – Coach junior designers and set design quality benchmarks for the Rider App team.
• Design Advocacy – Be the voice of riders inside the company, ensuring their needs and realities shape product and business priorities.

What We're Looking For:

• 4+ years in Product/UX Design – At least 2+ years leading design for mobile-first consumer or gig platforms.
• Deep User Empathy – Ability to translate research into experiences that work across literacy levels, languages, and tech fluency.
• Craft Mastery – Advanced in Figma and prototyping; strong sense of visual hierarchy, color, and typography for mobile.
• Experience with Scale – Designed apps for high-volume daily active users (DAU/MAU) where performance and simplicity matter.
• Strategic Design Thinking – Can balance short-term business asks with long-term rider experience vision.
• Collaboration & Influence – Comfortable driving discussions with PMs, Engineers, and Ops leaders, and influencing priorities through design storytelling.
• Bias for Action – Hands-on designer who thrives in fast-paced environments and isn't afraid to get into the details.
• Communication Excellence – Ability to present design decisions persuasively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in logistics, gig economy, fintech, or consumer apps.
• Understanding of multi-lingual or low-literacy user design challenges.
• Exposure to motion design, micro-interactions, or gamification strategies.
