Role & responsibilities

The ITBP is responsible for:

  • In close collaboration with the Business Department and its entities, identifying the Business's ICT needs and staying informed of associated technological developments.
  • In collaboration with the Business Department, analyzing Business processes and making recommendations for improvement.
    • Define, in partnership with the Group IT department, infrastructure needs (network, storage, backup, security, servers, telephony, integration of new sites, etc.)
  • Maintain a map of the ICT tools available within the Business and seek alignment across the scope.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and inventories for IT tools specific to the Business Manage licensing aspects.
  • For Business-specific ICT projects, establish specifications and manage these projects In partnership with the Group ICT department, lead or conduct market research and select new solutions to meet specific needs, ensuring their implementation and maintenance.
  • Ensure change management during the implementation of new ICT solutions, whether specific to the Business or common to the Group.
    • Provide user support, particularly in the configuration, parameterization, and/or optimization of management tools, support organizational changes, and organize ICT training plans.
  • Ensure the implementation of ICT policies, particularly in cybersecurity aspects.
  • Manage the PLM aspects of the Business.
  • Ensure compliance with associated policies and practices that ensure compliance with compliance requirements relating to the Business.
  • Monitor KPIs associated with the function and meet objectives.
  • As a member of the John Cockerill Group ICT Committee, he is responsible for:
  • Contributing to the definition of the Group's ICT strategy and policies by providing the vision and needs of the Business.
  • Contributing to the definition of the ICT architecture.
  • Contributing to the selection of the Group's ICT solutions and partners.
    • Contribute to the sharing of ICT best practices across businesses

Preferred candidate profile

  • 15+ years of experience in IT/business interface roles, preferably in energy, industrial, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Good understanding of ERP systems (SAP and JD Edwards).
  • Strong understanding of PLM and CAD systems with automation, digitalisation, and parametrisation.
  • Strong experience with performance calculation tools and tailor-made process tools.
  • Expertise in business data analytics, customer relationship management tools, and integrated tool suites.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
