About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Embedded Systems Intern with hands-on experience in ARM-based embedded platforms such as FPGA Zynq, STM32, NXP, or similar controllers. The candidate should be capable of working independently in developing and testing embedded Linux-based systems for EVSE (Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment) applications. Prior exposure to EVSE or related domains will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test embedded firmware applications in Embedded Linux environments.
  • Work on hardware bring-up, driver integration, and system-level validation on ARM-based architectures.
  • Develop and debug communication interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
  • Integrate and validate peripherals like LCDs, LEDs, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and RFID/NFC modules.
  • Optimize embedded code for performance, stability, and resource efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware–software integration.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ for embedded systems.
  • Good understanding of ARM Cortex-M/A architectures (STM32, NXP, or Zynq preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in Embedded Linux or PetaLinux development.
  • Familiarity with device drivers, bootloaders, and BSP configurations.
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
  • Proficiency with debugging tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Exposure to the EVSE domain or energy-related embedded applications is a plus.

Preferred / Added Advantage:

  • Experience with EVSE AC charger systems or understanding of OCPP communication protocols.
  • Exposure to Smart Grid, V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid), or HomePlug GreenPHY technologies.
  • Familiarity with secure boot, firmware updates, or OTA mechanisms.

Education Qualification:

  • B.E/B.Tech or M.Tech or PhD in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Computer Science Engineering.
  • Final-year students or recent graduates with practical project experience in embedded systems are welcome to apply.
