Business Development Manager

Experience & Education
• 4-6 years of experience in business development in B2C-EPC with Technical
Knowledge/ sales projects in the solar renewable energy.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets, handling end-to-end project deals
• Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Electrical Renewable Energy or
related field
• MBA (Sales Marketing) preferred
Role Objective
To expand Koshish's solar company footprint by identifying, developing, and converting
business opportunities (residential, commercial, industrial, or utility scale), building
strategic relationships, managing proposals and contracts, and ensuring consistent
revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Market Analysis
o Develop and execute solar business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
o Analyze market trends, competitor moves, and identify high-potential segments and geographies.
2. Lead Generation & Pipeline Development o Generate quality leads from RFP portals, partners, and referrals.
o Work with marketing and inside-sales teams to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
3. Client Engagement & Partnerships
o Build strong relationships with developers, consultants and large
customers.
o Establish strategic alliances with EPCs, vendors, and channel partners to expand market reach.
4. Proposal, Bidding & Negotiation
o Lead RFP responses, proposals, and pricing strategies in collaboration with technical teams.
o Negotiate contracts ensuring favorable commercial terms and project feasibility.
5. Deal Closure & Project Transition
o Achieve revenue targets through successful deal closures.
o Ensure smooth project handover to operations while maintaining
compliance with timelines and contracts.
6. Reporting, Forecasting & Market Presence
o Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and business performance reports.
o Represent Koshish at industry events, track regulatory changes, and share market insights with management
Required Skills & Competencies
• Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship management skills
• Strategic, analytical mindset; ability to interpret data and market signals
• Effective Team management- Skilful in managing team pursuing diverse organizational objective.
• Proficient in digital skills - working with Computer, Email, MS office-Excel, Word, PPT and marketing apps.
• Good Inter personal skills- Ability to mix up with peers, partners and community influencers and cross functional teams
• Commercial orientation; comfortable dealing with budgets, margins, contracts
• Technical understanding of solar systems, components, hybrid/ongrid storage,EPC processes
• Deal with long sales cycles and complex decision-making processes
