1. Pre-Construction Phase

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and cost plans for the Creek Bridge project.
  • Assist in tender preparation, including pricing, bid documentation, and cost breakdowns.
  • Evaluate tender submissions and support in the selection of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Provide value engineering recommendations to optimize cost without compromising design integrity.

2. Construction Phase

  • Monitor project cost performance and report any variations to the Project Manager.
  • Prepare and review progress payment certificates and claims from contractors.
  • Manage change orders, variations, and ensure proper documentation of all cost impacts.
  • Conduct site visits to verify work progress and quantities executed.
  • Ensure compliance with contract conditions and construction drawings.

3. Post-Construction Phase

  • Prepare final accounts, cost reconciliation, and close-out documentation.
  • Support financial auditing and cost analysis for the completed bridge project.
  • Maintain accurate records of all project costs, measurements, and supporting documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in construction cost management, preferably in infrastructure or bridge projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and contract management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, CostX, or similar QS software.
  • Understanding of FIDIC or equivalent contract standards.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
