Position : Sr. Manager/ AGM – Purchase (Mechanical & Electrical)Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for M&E items.
  • Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Participate in Online bidding & reverse bidding
  • Vendor Management:
  • Identify, evaluate, vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manage vendor empanelment and conduct due diligence.
  • Negotiation and Cost Control:
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to secure favorable terms.
  • Analyze market trends to optimize costs.
  • Operations and Collaboration:
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., engineering, production, finance, quality & Store) to forecast requirements and resolve issues.
  • Technical and Quality Assurance:
  • Review technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and specifications to ensure accurate material selection & meet quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's/ Diploma degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Materials Management, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience: Proven 15-18 years of experience in purchasing, particularly for mechanical and electrical items in a manufacturing or projects-based environment.
  • Skills & Preference:
  • Excellent negotiation & strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software (SAP) and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in Paper/Sugar Industry

Remuneration: INR 15-18 LPA

Location: Kala Amb, Himachal Pradesh

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,300, ₹1,800,000.00 per year
