Your Role

As a WLAN QA Engineer, you will be responsible for validating wireless technologies and ensuring the performance, reliability, and interoperability of WLAN features across a range of devices. You'll work closely with development and QA teams to identify issues, automate test cases, and contribute to the delivery of robust wireless solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and interoperability testing of WLAN features
  • Validate standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax) across wireless devices such as routers, access points, and IoT platforms
  • Test Wi-Fi features including roaming, throughput, coexistence, MIMO, MU-MIMO, and channel bonding
  • Write and execute detailed test cases and document results
  • Debug issues using tools like Wireshark, protocol analyzers, and system logs
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to reproduce, analyze, and resolve issues
  • Automate test cases using Python or similar scripting languages

Your Profile

  • 3–8 years of experience in wireless device testing
  • Strong understanding of WLAN/802.11 protocols and RF concepts
  • Hands-on experience with tools like IxChariot, Wireshark, OmniPeek, and iPerf
  • Familiarity with signal strength, channel interference, and wireless performance metrics
  • Proficient in Python or similar scripting languages for test automation
  • Exposure to test automation frameworks and Linux environments
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field
