Job Summary
Responsible for participating as an technical expert in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, contributing to new products implementation, implementing existing products and services and providing the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Interfaces with vendors, Engineering and peer operations organizations. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Provides technical leadership to junior Engineers and project teams. Integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities. Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment. Does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities. May direct workflow and act as a technical lead. May lead teams or projects and shares expertise.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
8+ years of experience leading the resolution of technical incidents (such as outages) and running incident management programs, preferably in large-scale global environments.
- Experience in a high availability SaaS environment
- 5+ years of experience working with a managed service provider supporting public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud etc), Enterprise Telecoms or Networks (such as ISPs or Managed Fiber) or Managed Hosting (Database, Web or Application in a managed or virtual datacenter).
- Understanding of web services (HTTP, Web API, Web protocols).
- Familiarity with System observability (Datadog or Splunk)
- Previous experience in ICS (Incident Command Systems) framework and familiarity with ServiceNow
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstratable experience in Leading, rather than passively driving incident resolution.
- ITIL foundation (V2, V3 or V4) certified as a minimum. Additional certification will be highly valued.
