Hiring for US Mortgage - WALKIN - Senior Analyst
Date - 13th to 15th Oct
Time am-2.00pm.
Overview: The Loan Coordinator / Processor plays a critical role in guiding mortgage applications through the initial stages of processing. This individual is responsible for meticulously verifying borrower documentation, coordinating with third parties, and ensuring the loan file is complete and ready for underwriting, all while strictly adhering to compliance policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Review: Thoroughly review the Uniform Residential Loan Application for accuracy and completeness.
- Document Verification: Verify the authenticity and accuracy of income, asset, and credit documents submitted by applicants.
- Third-Party Coordination: Proactively follow up with external vendors to obtain necessary documentation, including appraisals, Verification of Employment (VOE), title commitments, and insurance information.
- Condition Clearing: Work diligently to clear all initial conditions on the loan file, addressing any deficiencies or outstanding requirements.
- Checklist Completion: Ensure all items on the processing checklist are accurately completed and documented.
- Underwriting Submission: Prepare and submit complete and organized loan files to the Underwriting department.
- Compliance Adherence: Strictly adhere to the Bank's compliance policies and procedures, including ensuring compliance with the SAFE Act.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mortgage loan processing or coordination.
- Strong understanding of residential mortgage documentation (1003, income/asset docs, credit reports).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and follow-up skills.
- Familiarity with mortgage compliance requirements, particularly the SAFE Act.
- Working knowledge on Encompass LOS is plus
Residential Mortgage Underwriter
Overview: The Underwriter is responsible for critically assessing the creditworthiness of loan applicants and the eligibility of properties, ensuring all loans meet the Bank's guidelines and regulatory requirements. This role involves a deep dive into financial data, property valuations, and loan documentation to render informed loan decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Credit Analysis: Perform comprehensive analysis of borrower credit profiles, including credit reports, debt-to-income ratios, and payment history.
- Property Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of property appraisals to confirm valuation, condition, and marketability.
- Document Verification (Advanced): Re-verify and critically evaluate income, asset, and credit documents to ensure accuracy and consistency with underwriting guidelines.
- Loan Document Review: Review all subsequent loan documents received post-processing for accuracy and completeness.
- Condition Generation: Clearly define and add specific conditions necessary for loan approval, communicating these effectively.
- Loan Decisioning: Make informed decisions on loan applications (approve, conditionally approve, or deny) based on comprehensive analysis and adherence to guidelines.
- Underwriting Memo Completion: Complete detailed Underwriting Memos or worksheets as required, documenting the rationale for loan decisions and conditions.
- Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Strictly adhere to the Bank's compliance policies and procedures, ensuring all operations meet regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mortgage Underwriter with a strong understanding of conventional, and potentially FHA/VA, loan programs.
- Expertise in credit analysis, income/asset calculation, and appraisal review.
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage a pipeline of loans efficiently.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting loan decisions.
Closing, Fee Calculation & Disclosure Specialist
Overview: The Closing & Disclosure Specialist is responsible for preparing and balancing final loan documents, ensuring all conditions are cleared before closing, and coordinating with settlement agents to facilitate a smooth and compliant closing process. This role is critical in the final stages of the loan lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Review & Data Input: Meticulously review all pre-closing documents and input accurate data into the closing system.
- Fee Calculation and Verification: Accurately calculate, review, and verify all loan-related fees, ensuring they align with the Loan Estimate, lender policies, and regulatory guidelines.
- Condition Clearing: Proactively work to clear any remaining conditions required for the final closing disclosure and funding.
- Signature Document Review: Review all documents requiring signatures for accuracy and proper preparation.
- Wire Calculation: Accurately calculate final wire amounts for funding.
- Final Closing Disclosure (CD) Balancing: Balance the final Closing Disclosure to ensure all figures are correct and compliant with TRID regulations.
- Document Preparation & Delivery: Prepare and send all necessary closing documents, the final Closing Disclosure, and signature-required documents to the settlement agent.
- Funding Submission: Submit the complete and accurate file to the funding department for final disbursement.
- Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Strictly adhere to the Bank's compliance policies and procedures, ensuring all operations meet regulatory compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in mortgage loan closing or disclosure preparation.
- Strong understanding of closing processes, documents, and compliance requirements (especially TRID).
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
