Job Description – Account Executive

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Account Executive with sound knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and income tax regulations. The candidate should be capable of handling day-to-day accounting, preparing GST returns, managing accounts payable/receivable, and supporting statutory compliance including audits.

Key Responsibilities:

GST Compliance & Returns:

Preparation and filing of GST Returns (GSTR-3B, GSTR-1) and reconciliation with books.

Processing GST payments and ensuring timely compliance.

Understanding of GST percentages, exemptions, and ineligible input credits.

TDS & Taxation:

Knowledge of TDS applicability, deduction percentages, and threshold limits.

Preparation and filing of TDS returns and ensuring timely payment.

Calculation of income tax on salaries using prescribed slab rates and exemptions.

Accounting & Bookkeeping:

Passing Journal Entries and ensuring proper accounting treatment.

Handling Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable including vendor/customer reconciliations.

Performing Bank Reconciliations on a regular basis.

Supporting finalization of accounts and preparation of Balance Sheet.

Audit & Compliance:

Assisting in statutory and internal audits.

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.

Key Knowledge Areas:

GST structure, rates, exemptions, and non-eligible items for ITC.

Due dates for GST & TDS returns and tax payments.

Accounting principles including double-entry system and reconciliation.

Tax compliance including Income Tax slab rates for salary computation.

Financial reporting and audit requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance.

Minimum 1-3 years of experience with CA Firm in accounting and taxation.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally ERP/other accounting software.

Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax rules.

Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.3:53 pm
