- Sales and negotiation: Create and deliver compelling sales pitches and proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing, product development) to align objectives and develop effective strategies.
- Leadership and team development: Manage, mentor, train, and guide the business development or sales team to improve skills and performance.
- Reporting and analysis: Track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and business development activities, then prepare and present regular reports to senior management.
- Event representation: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
Required skills and qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in sales, marketing, or a related business development field, often with a track record of sales growth.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
