Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Piping Designer to join our team. The role involves creating and reviewing piping layouts, isometrics, and 3D models for oil & gas and petrochemical projects, ensuring compliance with international design standards and project requirements. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work remotely while attending periodic site visits and meetings near Nagercoil.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop piping layouts, isometric drawings, and general arrangement drawings using 2D/3D design tools.

· Create and maintain accurate 3D plant models for process facilities.

· Ensure piping designs comply with project specifications, codes, and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.).

· Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTO) and support procurement activities.

· Collaborate with process, mechanical, civil, and electrical teams for integrated plant design.

· Participate in model reviews and 3D model sessions to ensure safety and operability.

· Support field engineering teams during construction and resolve design-related issues.

· Assist in preparing as-built drawings and final project documentation.

· Coordinate with vendors and contractors to finalize design deliverables.

Qualifications:

· Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

· 3–8 years of experience as a piping designer in oil & gas or petrochemical projects.

· Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, E3D, AVEVA tools, PDS, or Plant 3D.

· Strong understanding of piping codes, material specifications, and standards.

· Experience with 3D modeling and interdisciplinary coordination.

· Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
