Role Overview:
We are seeking a Process Design Engineer with expertise in oil & gas and petrochemical projects to join our dynamic team.
The role involves creating process designs, developing PFDs, P&IDs, and supporting FEED and detailed engineering work. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with a focus on delivering high-quality, safe, and compliant designs.
This position is hybrid, offering flexibility to work remotely while attending key meetings and site visits near Nagercoil.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and heat & material balance calculations.
Design and review process systems for oil & gas facilities, refineries, and industrial plants.
Prepare equipment specifications, datasheets, and process documentation for major equipment (e.g., separators, heat exchangers, compressors, pumps).
Perform hydraulic calculations, pipeline sizing, and design of relief and flare systems.
Collaborate with mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
Support FEED and detailed design phases of projects.
Ensure compliance with international standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.) and HSE regulations.
Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning stages.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
3–8 years of relevant experience in oil & gas process design.
Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD, or equivalent.
Experience with FEED and detailed engineering for upstream, midstream, or downstream projects.
Strong understanding of process safety and environmental compliance.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
