Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The role involves designing electrical systems for oil & gas facilities, petrochemical plants, and other industrial projects, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with international standards. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility to work remotely with periodic site visits near Nagercoil.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and protection systems.

· Prepare single-line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, and electrical equipment specifications.

· Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, IS, etc.).

· Perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing.

· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, mechanical, and instrumentation engineers.

· Review vendor drawings and technical documentation for electrical equipment.

· Support FEED and detailed engineering design activities.

· Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.

· Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

· Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during project execution.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

· 3–8 years of experience in electrical design for oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects.

· Proficiency in electrical design tools and software such as ETAP, SPEL, AutoCAD, or equivalent.

· Strong knowledge of international electrical design standards and codes.

· Experience in reviewing vendor documents and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

· Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
