Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Facility Operations and Maintenance:

  2. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility, including cleaning, security, and maintenance.

  3. Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
  4. Ensure the facility complies with health, safety, and environmental standards.

  5. Space and Asset Management:

  6. Manage space planning and allocation to ensure optimal use of resources.

  7. Maintain an inventory of office equipment, supplies, and assets.

  8. Vendor and Contract Management:

  9. Negotiate and manage service contracts with external vendors (e.g., cleaning, landscaping, repairs).

  10. Monitor vendor performance to ensure services meet quality and cost expectations.

  11. Budgeting and Cost Control:

  12. Prepare and manage the facility's operational budget.

  13. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficient practices.

  14. Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  15. Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards or non-compliance issues.

  16. Ensure compliance with local building codes, fire regulations, and workplace safety laws.
  17. Coordinate emergency response and disaster recovery plans.

  18. Team Management:

  19. Supervise and train facility staff, including maintenance personnel and administrative assistants.

  20. Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure timely completion of projects.

  21. Energy and Sustainability Initiatives:

  22. Implement energy-saving measures and sustainability practices.

  23. Monitor and reduce the facility's environmental impact.

  24. Communication and Stakeholder Management:

  25. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, contractors, and stakeholders regarding facility-related concerns.

  26. Address complaints and resolve issues promptly.

  27. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

  28. Working relationship with operations

  29. Communication: Proficient in English, Hindi.

  30. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  31. Experience: Proven experience in facility management, Shopping Complex or a similar role.

  32. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  33. Leadership Skills: Strong team management and interpersonal skills.
  34. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  35. Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  36. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  37. Certifications: Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP) are a plus.
  38. Strong background in Facility Management.
