We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Finance to manage commercial finance for Modern Trade, E‑commerce, and Q‑commerce channels across PAN India.

  • About The Organization: Pioneer in the FMCG sector, leading in the trade marketing & distribution division

  • The role combines hands‑on accounting, receivables/payables management, GST/TDS compliance, and month‑end GL closures.

  • Audits, MIS, and cross‑functional partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Logistics to optimize working capital and support business growth.
  • Further, ensuring periodic reconciliation of the ledgers of accounts and dealing with the customer representative for sign off.
  • Lead / Participate in automation projects related to Modern Trade, E-commerce, and Q-commerce channels.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Manage end‑to‑end commercial finance for MT, ECOM, and QCOM channels across India, including customer-level accounting and controls.
  2. Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes; drive timely quarterly sign‑offs with Logistics, Marketing, and other stakeholders.
  3. Prepare and review weekly ageing, quarterly reconciliations, and follow up to ensure timely cash collections and no working capital blockages.
  4. Check and approve marketing claims, promotional spend,s and visibility costs based on Sell‑In/Sell‑Out on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  5. Execute month‑end GL closing activities; allocate and transfer cost and sales amounts to relevant SBUs.
  6. Review GST and TDS applicability on claims and sales queries raised by Marketing; ensure accurate tax treatment and documentation.
  7. Conduct Periodic Reconciliation of accounts and resolve issues
  8. Drive automation and process improvements; lead implementations of tools and registers to enhance controls and efficiency.
  9. Prepare and circulate a comprehensive monthly MIS to support Sales and Logistics decision-making.
  10. Support internal and external audits and ad hoc financial analysis as required.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  1. Qualified Cost and Management Accountant (CMA/ICWA) or equivalent finance qualification.
  2. 4 to 6 years of relevant post‑qualification experience in finance and accounts.
  3. Prior experience managing commercial finance for modern trade and e‑commerce channels strongly preferred.

Core Skills & Competencies

  1. Hands‑on expertise in receivables and payables management, ageing analysis, and working capital optimization.
  2. Advanced Excel skills and experience in preparing actionable MIS and management presentations.
  3. Experience with ERP/finance systems and comfort leading digital implementations and automation initiatives.
  4. Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to influence Sales, Marketing, and Logistics teams.
