Application/Technical Support Specialist – Job Summary
The Application/Technical Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of enterprise-level software applications through proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and technical troubleshooting. Acting as a bridge between IT and business teams, this role supports critical systems, enhances application performance, and drives customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- 24/7 Monitoring: Oversee enterprise applications to detect and resolve outages or errors in real-time.
- Incident Management: Use tools like Jira, Confluence, and Slack to track and resolve support tickets efficiently.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead RCA efforts to identify and implement long-term solutions.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve application performance and security.
- Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for application-related issues and vendor coordination.
- Customer Support: Build strong relationships with internal teams and external clients to ensure high service quality.
- Network & VoIP Troubleshooting: Resolve issues related to TCP/IP, VoIP, MPLS, and PRI services.
- Process Improvement: Analyze support workflows and implement best practices.
- Training & Compliance: Lead team training initiatives and ensure IT policies meet industry standards.
Required Skills
- Experience with enterprise applications and cloud environments (AWS).
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, JSON.
- Understanding of APIs, web services, and basic programming.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of ACD systems and call center setup.
- Strong grasp of networking and communication protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years in application or technical support, with solid knowledge of application architecture and networking.
