Senior Accountant with strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and GST compliance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure accurate and timely GST computation, filing, and reconciliation, including handling input tax credit (ITC) and resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, perform financial analysis, and prepare management reports.
  • Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and cost control measures.
  • Maintain and improve accounting systems and procedures for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial advice and support business operations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accountants and accounting staff.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Minimum 4–7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of GST laws, return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.), and reconciliation procedures.
  • Proficient in Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or other accounting software.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting standards and financial principles.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
