We are looking for a
hands-on, detail-driven Financial Controller
to lead the finance function for a fast-growing D2C consumer brand. This role will oversee end-to-end financial operations, strengthen internal controls, enable data-backed decision-making, and ensure the company is on a strong path towards profitability and scale.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Control

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Design and enforce strong financial controls across the business.
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash-flow planning.
  • Build and maintain P&L, Balance Sheet, MIS, and financial dashboards for leadership reviews.

Business Finance & Decision Support

  • Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, E-commerce, and Retail teams to evaluate spends, promotions, and pricing.
  • Analyse CAC, LTV, contribution margins, and cohort performance to guide growth decisions.
  • Conduct SKU-level profitability, channel-level costs, and inventory health assessment.
  • Provide business insights to improve gross margins and optimize cost structures.

Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee AP, AR, bookkeeping, GST, TDS, payroll compliance, and statutory filings.
  • Ensure timely audits (internal & statutory) and maintain healthy relationships with auditors.
  • Implement standard accounting procedures aligned with Ind-AS.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor working capital, fund flow, vendor payments, and credit cycles.
  • Manage banking relationships and oversee debt arrangements if applicable.
  • Optimize cash utilization across marketing, operations, and inventory.

Inventory & Supply Chain Finance

  • Track inventory valuation, ageing, shrinkage, and reconciliation with Ops/Warehouse.
  • Implement controls for procurement, vendor payments, and landed cost tracking.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Implement/upgrade ERP, finance tools, and automation to improve speed and accuracy.
  • Streamline processes for scale — including policies for spending, claims, and approvals.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • CA qualified (mandatory).
  • 6–10 years of experience in finance, ideally in
    D2C, FMCG, Retail, E-commerce, or Consumer Brands
    .
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment is a strong advantage.
