Role Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage financial operations, reporting, and compliance for our organization. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with financial management systems, and the ability to provide insights into the companys financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting transactions and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and support management in financial planning.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Reconcile accounts payable, receivable, and petty cash accounts.
  • Ensure timely processing of bank transactions and payments.
  • Prepare and manage balance sheets, profit/loss statements, and other reports.
  • Publish financial statements within deadlines.
  • Monitor and report on the company's financial health and liquidity.
  • Audit financial transactions and supporting documents.
  • Maintain data confidentiality and ensure regular database backups.
  • Comply with accounting standards, company policies, and financial regulations.
  • Compute taxes and prepare/submit tax returns.
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Manage member accounts: invoicing, receipting, reconciling.
  • Oversee debt management and follow up on collections.
  • Maintain updated member records.
  • Assist with fundraising activities and project proposals.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and statutory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Tally/ERP software, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualification:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • Professional certifications (CA Inter, ICWA, etc.) will be an added advantage.
