Job Title: Accountant / Senior Accountant

Department: Accounts & Finance

Location: New Delhi

Job Summary:

The role involves managing end-to-end accounting functions, statutory compliance, and financial reporting for clients of the firm. The incumbent will ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts, timely compliance with statutory obligations, and support audit and tax teams in delivering professional client services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle day-to-day accounting operations and bookkeeping for clients across industries.
  • Record and reconcile all financial transactions (sales, purchases, receipts, payments, journals, etc.) in accounting software such as
    Tally, SAP, or ERP systems
    .
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and vendor/client ledgers.
  • Ensure timely filing of
    GST returns, TDS, and other statutory compliances
    .
  • Assist in preparation and finalization of accounts for audit and tax purposes.
  • Coordinate with internal audit, statutory audit, and tax teams to support client deliverables.
  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure adherence to accounting standards and firm policies.
  • Support budgeting, MIS reporting, and management analysis as required.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification:
    B.Com / M.Com / Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant / Inter CA or Inter CMA
  • Experience:
    3–5 years in accounting, preferably with a Chartered Accountancy firm
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in
    Tally, MS Excel
    , and accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho, etc.)
  • Understanding of
    GST, TDS, Income Tax, and ROC compliance
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (Ind AS/IGAAP)
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and numerical aptitude
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in handling multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Exposure to compliance management, audit support, and financial reporting.
  • Prior experience with CA firms or professional service organizations preferred.
