Job Summary
The Front Office Executive is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by managing front desk operations efficiently. The role involves handling guest check-ins and check-outs, reservations, inquiries, and ensuring a pleasant and seamless guest experience throughout their stay.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesGuest Services
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and service standards
Front Desk Operations
- Manage room reservations, cancellations, and modifications
- Ensure correct room allocation as per reservations and guest preferences
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure room readiness
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, billing, and folio settlements accurately
Communication & Coordination
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments for guest requirements
- Maintain clear communication during shift handovers
- Report guest feedback and operational issues to supervisors
Administrative Duties
- Maintain guest records and update information in the property management system (PMS)
- Prepare daily reports, occupancy reports, and shift summaries
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and security standards
Safety & Compliance
- Follow hotel safety, hygiene, and security guidelines
- Verify guest identification and comply with local regulations
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hotel PMS software
- Problem-solving and multitasking abilities
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hotel Management or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in hotel front office operations (freshers may apply for junior roles)
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
Working Conditions
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
