Role Description

Job Responsibilities – Assistant Production Manager

  1. Raw Material Planning
  2. • Plan and forecast raw material requirements based on projected production schedules.
  3. • Ensure uninterrupted availability of materials to meet daily and monthly production targets.
  4. Stock Analysis & Reporting
  5. • Analyse stock levels and prepare reports to maintain minimum inventory of finished goods as per company policy.
  6. • Monitor consumption trends to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  7. Data Management
  8. • Maintain and update all production-related data, records, and documentation in an accurate and organized manner.
  9. Interdepartmental Coordination
  10. • Coordinate effectively with internal departments (Purchase, Quality, Stores, Dispatch, etc.) to ensure smooth production activities.
  11. • Facilitate clear and timely communication across teams.
  12. Maintenance Coordination
  13. • Work closely with the plant maintenance department to ensure that machines and equipment remain operational and downtime is minimized.
  14. Vendor & Supplier Communication
  15. • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding material requirements, delivery timelines, and quality concerns.
  16. • Maintain professional relationships with national and international suppliers.
  17. Documentation & Quality Compliance
  18. • Ensure proper documentation and implementation of quality policies within the plant.
  19. • Support compliance requirements and assist in audits when needed.
  20. Support to Production Head
  21. • Provide administrative and operational assistance to the Production Head in day-to-day tasks and decision-making.

Qualifications


• B.E. (Preference: Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering).


• Good understanding of production processes and production management.


• Proficiency in MS Excel and data management tools.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and English.


• Ability to communicate professionally with internal teams and external vendors/suppliers at national and international levels.
