How we started:

Founded in 2019, Uravu Labs was born out of a shared vision to address water scarcity issues, particularly inspired by the founders' own experiences on the NIT Calicut campus during their studies. Driven by a passion for innovation and sustainability, Uravu Labs embarked on a mission to develop cutting-edge solutions that could extract water from the air using renewable energy sources. The company's journey began with the realization that existing methods, such as conventional atmospheric water generators, were not entirely sustainable due to their heavy reliance on electricity and the use of refrigerants with high global warming potential. Determined to make a difference, the founders set out to create a solution that would be truly renewable and sustainable. Their dedication led them to explore alternative approaches, resulting in the development of groundbreaking technology that harnesses renewable energy to produce clean water from the air.

Role Overview:

We're looking for a smart and energetic
Sales Manager
who can drive sales of our premium packaged water & beverages in the Hotels, Restaurants and Cafés (HoReCa) segment. This is not a regular sales role – we are looking for someone who is strong in communication and field selling, but also comfortable with pricing calculations, planning their day logically and reading patterns in buyer behaviour. The right person will grow into a future Sales Team Lead.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Pricing, Calculations & Planning
    : Prepare cost sheets / basic calculations for proposals / Documents and plans sales in a structured and efficient way.
  • Hunt for new business:
    Identify, approach, and convert prospective hospitality clients through networking, cold calling, and market visits.
  • Sell smart:
    Pitch our packaged drinking water and beverage products to decision-makers, emphasizing product quality, value, and brand appeal.
  • Grow the network:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with restaurant owners, bar managers, hotel procurement heads, and other key stakeholders.
  • Deliver results:
    Develop and execute sales plans to hit and exceed monthly targets.
  • Close deals:
    Negotiate pricing and contracts to secure profitable, long-term partnerships.
  • Work as one team:
    Coordinate with marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure seamless onboarding, timely deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay ahead:
    Track industry trends, competitor activity, and market insights to seize new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum
    5 years
    of experience in FMCG/beverage sales, preferably in the hospitality sector. Local HoReCa network/contacts is a plus.
  • Business maths & comfort with numbers (pricing, margins, % calculations)
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in
    Kannada
    is mandatory and Hindi is preferred.
  • Target-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel and Comfortable walking in and meeting new customers daily
