Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer based in Bangalore, India to join our Platform Engineering team. You will own and operate cloud infrastructure and data platforms that power MerQube's index computation and analytics systems, working closely with engineering and data teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as CodeDeploy and manage Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and ETL pipelinesOperate and scale Kafka-based streaming systemsSupport and maintain ETL pipelines and data-processing infrastructureDesign and operate database systems (relational and NoSQL), including backups and recoveryBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure and reliable deploymentsOperate containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and EKSEnsure availability, performance, monitoring, and operational reliability of production systemsImprove security, IAM, secrets management, and compliance practicesLead incident response and mentor engineers on DevOps best practices

Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering rolesStrong hands-on experience with AWS and cloud-native architecturesExperience with Airflow, Kafka, ETL pipelines, and data platformsExperience setting up and operating databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis)Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and EKSExperience with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and security fundamentals
