Job Title: Area Manager – North Region (B2B & Retail Business)

Position Overview

Yuma is seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead the B2B and Retail business for the Northern Region. The incumbent will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic market expansion, partner onboarding, and operational excellence. This role requires a strong understanding of the EV ecosystem, exceptional stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver sustainable growth through partner-led business models.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Market Development & Partner Acquisition:
    Identify, onboard, and manage Fleet Operators, Third-Party Logistics (TPL) partners, and Logistics Companies across assigned territories.
  • Dealer & Retail Expansion:
    Drive OEM dealer onboarding and business development for retail and retrofitment verticals.
  • Customer Onboarding & Enablement:
    Manage the complete customer lifecycle, including onboarding, training, and continuous performance monitoring.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with internal teams across operations, marketing, finance, and central business units to ensure effective partner enablement and seamless execution

  • Government & Union Liaison:
    Engage with local authorities, transport unions, and other external stakeholders to facilitate smooth business operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution:
    Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies to achieve defined revenue and market share targets.
  • Performance Management:
    Track daily and monthly targets, monitor customer performance, and conduct regular business reviews and competition benchmarking.
  • Market Intelligence:
    Conduct market mapping, competitor analysis, and opportunity assessments for network expansion and new business opportunities.
  • Relationship Management:
    Build and maintain long-term relationships with fleet partners, TPLs, OEMs, and financiers to ensure mutual growth and operational efficiency.
  • Profitability & Compliance:
    Ensure customer profitability, adherence to company policies, and compliance with operational and service delivery standards.
  • Brand Representation:
    Represent Yuma at industry events, trade forums, and local market engagements to strengthen brand visibility and positioning in the EV battery-swapping domain
    .

Key Requirements

  • Education:
    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related discipline
    .
  • Experience
    : 5–8 years of proven experience in Business Development, Franchise/Channel Expansion, or Network Sales, preferably within the EV, Automotive, Retail, or Logistics sectors
    .
  • Business Acumen:
    Demonstrated ability to scale partner-led business models and achieve growth targets
    .
  • Stakeholder Management:
    Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical Capability:
    Proficiency in market analysis, opportunity assessment, and business performance optimization.
  • Leadership & Execution:
    Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to driving field execution and achieving measurable outcomes

: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels
