Role: Backend Python Developer (Generative AI Awareness)

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5+ Years

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks (Django/Flask/FastAPI).
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate Generative AI models (LLMs, Diffusion, Transformers, etc.) into products.
  • Optimize backend services for scalability, performance, and security.
  • Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL/NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient query design and optimization.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
  • Containerize and deploy applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and system monitoring.
  • Stay updated with emerging Generative AI tools, APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.), and recommend adoption where relevant.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Python backend development.
  • Strong expertise in Django / DRF, Flask, or FastAPI.
  • Solid understanding of REST API design, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
  • Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Exposure to Generative AI:
  • Using APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, Anthropic, etc.)
  • Familiarity with LangChain, RAG, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS)
  • Basic knowledge of fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Celery).
  • Knowledge of MLOps workflows for deploying and scaling AI models.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks ) for API integration.
  • Understanding of data pipelines and ETL processes.
