Job Title: Site Engineer – Railway Project

Location: Delhi

Reports to: Project Manager / Senior Site Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Engineer with experience in railway construction projects. The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all activities on-site, ensuring that the railway project is executed efficiently, safely, and in line with project timelines, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Supervision: Oversee daily on-site activities related to the construction of railway tracks, stations, and other associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with the project plan.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction activities are conducted to meet high-quality standards and follow design specifications, including track laying, earthworks, and station construction.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Compliance: Monitor and enforce strict adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations. Conduct safety audits and organize daily toolbox talks.
  • Coordinate Subcontractors and Labor: Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, laborers, and material suppliers to ensure work is progressing as per schedule and quality.
  • Material & Resource Management: Ensure that all materials and resources required for the project are available on-site, properly stored, and used efficiently. Work with procurement to track and manage materials required for track laying and station construction.
  • Schedule Management: Monitor progress against project schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks. Identify potential delays or risks and propose corrective actions.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance to site staff, ensuring any challenges encountered on-site are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain regular progress reports, including site activity logs, work progress, material usage, and any challenges or risks encountered.
  • Surveying and Documentation: Assist with surveying activities, ensuring proper leveling, alignment, and design conformance for the track and infrastructure. Maintain detailed records of all site activities and documentation.
  • Site Inspections & Testing: Coordinate with the quality control team to perform inspections and tests on materials and completed works. Ensure railway track integrity, structural components, and station facilities meet project specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the construction of railway projects, including track laying, signaling systems, or station construction.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are desirable. Specialized railway engineering qualifications are a plus.
