Job Summary:
The Hospital HR professional is responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, payroll coordination, compliance with labor laws, and supporting hospital administration in building a motivated and efficient workforce that ensures high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing
- Manage end-to-end recruitment process for medical, paramedical, and non-medical staff.
- Coordinate manpower planning with department heads.
- Conduct interviews, reference checks, and onboarding.
- Employee Relations & Welfare
- Act as the point of contact for grievance handling and conflict resolution.
- Foster a positive work culture and ensure employee engagement.
- Handle disciplinary actions in line with hospital policies.
- Training & Development
- Identify training needs in consultation with department heads.
- Organize induction and continuous training programs (clinical & non-clinical).
- Monitor effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, hospital accreditation standards (NABH, JCI, etc.), and statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, etc.).
- Maintain accurate employee records, HRMIS, and attendance systems.
- Performance Management
- Implement appraisal systems and maintain performance evaluation records.
- Support department heads in goal setting and staff assessments.
- Payroll & Compensation
- Coordinate salary processing with accounts/finance team.
- Ensure timely submission of attendance, leaves, and overtime data.
- HR Policies & Procedures
- Draft, implement, and update HR policies in line with hospital standards.
- Ensure staff are aware of policies through circulars and meetings.
- Health, Safety & Welfare
- Promote employee wellness initiatives.
- Ensure workplace safety protocols in coordination with hospital safety officers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in HR, Business Administration, or Hospital Administration (MBA/PGDM preferred).
- 3–8 years of HR experience (preferably in a hospital or healthcare setup).
- Knowledge of HR software, labor laws, and hospital compliance requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict management skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced healthcare environment.
