1) Jr Cosmetic Chemist for Product Development ( Sunscreen /Hair dye using Melanin ) Job Description:1)To develop sunscreens, hair dyes, sun tan creams and related cosmetics with Melanin as an Ingredient.2) Check the efficacy and effectiveness of the formulation 3) Trouble shooting and problem solving related to the formulation development and come up with solutions to get the desired end results 4) Develop the formulation and carry out comparative cost benefit analysis for use of Melanin compared to other ingredients in cosmetics applications and establish the use case .5) Prepare the necessary documentation for communicating the use of Melanin with the potential cosmetics customers.6)) Come up with different use cases of Melanin for use in cosmetics and Dermatological applications . 7) Write technical articles in different International journals to educate the formulators on the properties and use of melanin for different cosmetics applications .8) Material and inventory control , testing and coordination .

The candidate is expected to work under the supervision of Sr Cosmetic chemist and take complete responsibility of product development activities Qualification:Bachelors /Masters in areas relating to cosmetic formulation , emulsion technology with 0 to 3 years experience Prior experience of cosmetic formulation development with expertise in Sun Screen formulation as well as Hair dye development is preferred Excellent command and understanding of emulsion technology Should have excellent communication skills. Knowledge about the properties of different cosmetic ingredients and creativity to use this knowledge and techniques to solve the formulation challenges in the use of Melanin for cosmetic applications . About Avisa Myko Inc /Avisa Biotech Avisa Myko ) is a San Francisco based biotechnology startup.

The company is in the process of commercializing a disruptive technology to produce Melanin from its proprietary fungal strain at 4000 times cheaper than the current Melanin price. The company is seeking scientific personnel to carry out application development work for use of Melanin in cosmetics. Specially sun screen and hair dye .

Avisa Myko is funded by silicon valley's premier Biotech accelerator IndieBio Accelerator , Deeptech fund SOSV and other San Francisco based VC's. The company operates a biotech Research and Developmental facility at RGCB -Bionest Incubation center, Kochi( Kerala ) and a material science and application development lab out of IITB- Monash research academy , Mumbai .
