Dear Candidates,

We have open position for Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Design & Modeling

  • Create detailed 3D CAD models using tools like CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or Creo .
  • Develop 2D drawings and GD&T annotations in compliance with ASME Y14.5 or equivalent standards.
  • Design plastic and sheet metal parts, enclosures, and mechanical interfaces for automotive applications.

Product Development

  • Participate in concept design, prototyping, and validation of automotive electronics enclosures, brackets, housings, etc.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and material selection for cost and performance optimization.
  • Support DFMEA, PFMEA, and DVP&R documentation.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Electrical/Electronic, PCB, and System Engineers to ensure packaging feasibility and thermal/EMC considerations.
  • Interface with suppliers for manufacturing feasibility, tooling constraints, and prototype development.
  • Communicate design changes and manage revisions via PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.).

Testing & Validation

  • Coordinate with testing teams for mechanical validation (vibration, thermal, ingress protection IP67/IP69K, etc.).
  • Support field testing and issue root cause analysis for mechanical failures.

Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain BOMs, 2D/3D design files, engineering change notes (ECNs), and design reports.
  • Create technical documentation and installation instructions for customers and production teams.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or Creo).
  • Strong understanding of automotive-grade materials , plastic design, die-casting, and sheet metal.
  • Knowledge of DFM/DFA , GD&T , and tolerance analysis.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in electromechanical integration (e.g., PCB + Enclosure design).
  • Knowledge of IP ratings , thermal management , and NVH .
  • Exposure to automotive standards like AIS, ISO 26262
