Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Department: Engineering Reports To: Engineering Manager
Summary: The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems. This includes the use of CAD software to create 3D models, 2D drawings, and documentation. The Mechanical Design Engineer will also work with other engineers and technicians to ensure that products meet design specifications and are manufactured to high quality standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Use CAD software to create 3D models, 2D drawings, and documentation for mechanical components and systems
  • Work with other engineers and technicians to ensure that products meet design specifications and are manufactured to high quality standards
  • Perform stress analysis and finite element analysis to ensure that products are safe and reliable
  • Conduct prototype testing and evaluation
  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes
  • Maintain product documentation
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and trends in mechanical engineering

Qualifications:
  • Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in mechanical design
  • Strong working knowledge of CAD software, such as Creo
  • Experience with 3D Modelling, 2D drafting and detailing
  • Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
