Vehicle Integration Engineer/ Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities
- Lead the vehicle-level integration of all systems and subsystems (engine, transmission, hydraulics, chassis, electrical, cab, etc.) for tractor programs.
- Ensure compatibility and alignment among subsystems for optimal performance, packaging, and serviceability.
- Conduct virtual and physical validation of vehicle layouts using UG NX/Unigraphics CAD software, and prototype testing.
- Define and manage vehicle-level requirements, interfaces, and DVP (Design Validation Plan).
- Support concept development, vehicle packaging studies, and DFMEA activities.
- Coordinate with design, CAE, testing, and manufacturing teams to resolve integration issues.
- Support prototype build and validation phases, including fitment, layout, and performance checks.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure subsystem designs meet vehicle-level targets.
- Participate in vehicle benchmarking, specification development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Document and report vehicle integration issues, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
Preferred candidate profile
- Hands-on experience in tractor or off-highway vehicle development.
- Exposure to prototype build and testing phases.
- Knowledge of system engineering and model-based development principles.
- Experience with manufacturing feasibility and serviceability considerations during design.
