About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Carbon Project

Documentation Specialist. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and managing documentation for

carbon credit and environmental projects under leading global standards (Verra, CDM, Gold

Standard, etc.). The candidate will play a crucial/important role in ensuring compliance, quality, and

accuracy of all project-related documentation, while supporting strategy, due diligence, and

stakeholder engagement. This position requires a strong background in climate change mitigation,

sustainability, and excellent writing skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare Project Design Documents (PDDs), monitoring reports, and feasibility studies as per the standards of Verra, CDM, Gold Standard, or other registries.
• Ensure accuracy, approved referencing, and robust data traceability in all documentation.
• Maintain quality and consistency of reports following team-defined documentation guidelines.

VVB Coordination

• Coordinate with Validation & Verification Bodies (VVBs) throughout the project cycle.
• Support validation and verification activities including:
• Planning & scheduling site visits with VVBs.
• Preparing documentation packages for submission.
• Participating in site visits and facilitating on-ground assessments.
• Responding to Initial Findings (IFRs) raised by VVBs with detailed clarifications and supporting evidence.
• Addressing Final Findings (FFRs) to ensure closure of all issues before approval.
• Maintaining continuous and transparent communication with VVBs to ensure smooth validation/verification.
• Ensure due diligence and compliance throughout the validation and verification phases.

Project Execution Support

• Conduct site visits and travel to project locations for feasibility assessment, monitoring, and data verification.
• Ensure due diligence during validation and verification of assigned project activities.
• Collaborate with operations teams to document project objectives, goals, and responsibilities.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Maintain effective communication with Designated Operational Entities (DOEs), project proponents, and other key stakeholders.
• Develop and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Knowledge Management & Compliance
• Stay updated with the latest developments in global carbon registries, standards, and methodologies (Verra, CDM, Gold Standard, etc.).
• Share timely updates with the team to ensure alignment with evolving guidelines.
• Assist in developing SOPs, documentation standards, and best practices, particularly for plastic waste management and other environmental projects.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field.
• 3–6 years of work experience in the climate change mitigation sector, carbon credit markets, or sustainability consulting.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of carbon credit project cycles and requirements under Verra, CDM, and Gold Standard.
• Proven expertise in technical document writing, preferably for sustainability or carbon projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience in data management tools preferred.

Additional Competencies

• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• GRI Certification or equivalent sustainability reporting experience preferred.
