Role Overview:

The Portfolio Lead will be responsible for driving credit card sales through branch channels, managing product performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and leading a team to achieve organizational goals. This role involves strategizing, implementing, and monitoring initiatives to enhance portfolio growth, customer acquisition, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement branch-based credit card sales strategies to achieve acquisition and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with branch leadership to drive penetration and activation of credit cards.

Portfolio Management:

  • Monitor portfolio performance metrics such as spend, activation, attrition, and delinquency.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell within existing customer base.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of sales and product specialists to deliver on portfolio objectives.
  • Set clear goals, monitor performance, and provide coaching and development opportunities.

Regulatory & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, internal compliance standards, and industry regulations.
  • Implement robust processes to mitigate operational and credit risks.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate implications to stakeholders.

Product & Process Enhancement:

  • Work closely with product development and operations teams to improve customer experience.
  • Provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to refine product offerings.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of credit card products, retail banking, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience in team management and leadership.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret portfolio data and derive insights.
  • Track record in driving sales through branch channels.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 812 years of experience in credit card product management or branch banking sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Credit card acquisition numbers through branches.
  • Activation and spend ratios.
  • Portfolio profitability and risk indicators.
  • Team productivity and engagement scores.
