creative strategy, content marketing, and digital growth to build Swastik's audience
ecosystem across platforms.
Role Overview
The Lead – Marketing Communications will be responsible for building and executing an
integrated marketing communications strategy for Swastik's content universe — including
Sustenance content, Originals, and Fast Content. This role requires a hands-on strategist
who can oversee creative planning, content rollout, team leadership, community growth, and
analytics — ensuring seamless alignment between creative, marketing, and business goals.
You will be the bridge between creative, marketing, and management, ensuring every
piece of communication strengthens the brand and drives measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Develop and own the Integrated Marketing Communications Plan for all Swastik programming verticals (Sustenance, Originals, Fast Content).
- Define content calendars, secure approvals from leadership (SKT), and ensuretimely execution.
- Build and lead a cross-functional Marketing Communications team — including producers, designers, writers, and analysts.
- Create quarterly revenue projections and growth forecasts for Swastik's content channels.
Creative & Content Management
- Conceptualize marketing ideas and create content concepts for upcoming shows, campaigns, and community engagement.
- Work closely with SKT to get creative concepts approved and ensure they align with the brand voice and objectives.
- Create clear deadlines and milestones for each stakeholder (content, design, production, SKT).
- Proactively modify content calendars based on changing content availability, platform opportunities, or market trends.
Execution & Coordination
- Brief content producers on creative requirements and ensure content delivery meets communication goals.
- Coordinate day-to-day progress of content creation and marketing collaterals.
- Work with the Community Manager to co-create content that builds engagement and grows the audience organically.
- Collaborate with PR teams, media partners, and external agencies to ensure consistent messaging.
- Be involved from the concept stage of content development to ensure marketing alignment from inception.
Channel & Performance Management
- Drive growth of Swastik's existing channels (YouTube, Instagram, and other social platforms).
- Identify new distribution platforms and opportunities for audience expansion.
- Analyse content performance, revenue data, and channel analytics to optimize marketing and programming decisions.
- Prepare monthly performance reports on audience growth, content reach, and monetization.
Team Building & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Hire and mentor a team of creative and marketing professionals.
- Foster close collaboration between Programming, Marketing, PR, and Analytics teams.
- Instil a results-driven, creative culture aligned with Swastik's storytelling mission.
Desired Skills & Experience
- 7–12 years of experience in marketing communications, digital content marketing, or creative strategy, preferably in entertainment, OTT, or media.
- Strong understanding of Indian cultural and digital content ecosystems.
- Proven experience in building content calendars, campaign rollouts, and audience growth plans across social/digital platforms.
- Excellent communication, creative briefing, and project management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, insights, and revenue performance.
- Comfortable with fast-paced, dynamic environments and multitasking across multiple IPs or shows.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners (PR, design, production).
