About the Role

The Senior HVAC Design Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and engineering of HVAC systems for industrial, commercial, and cleanroom applications. The role involves creating detailed HVAC system designs, performing heat load calculations, selecting equipment, preparing BOQs, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that all systems comply with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Engineering

  • Prepare and review HVAC system designs including ducting, piping, and equipment layout.
  • Conduct heat load calculations, static pressure calculations, and air flow analysis.
  • Select appropriate HVAC equipment (AHUs, FCUs, chillers, VRF/VRV systems, etc.) based on project requirements.
  • Develop schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, and equipment schedules.

Technical Documentation

  • Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, data sheets, and design calculations.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and as-built drawings.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards such as ASHRAE Standards, SMACNA, ISO Codes, and client-specific requirements.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with on-site project team to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
  • Support project teams during execution to resolve design-related issues.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities.

Costing & Estimation

  • Assist in cost estimation and budgeting during the tendering phase.
  • Review vendor quotations and provide technical evaluations.

Innovation & Quality Control

  • Drive energy-efficient design practices and sustainable solutions.
  • Ensure that all designs meet company quality standards and client expectations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 6–10 years of experience in HVAC design, preferably in cleanroom / pharma / industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, HAP, Revit (optional), and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with HVAC standards and codes (ASHRAE, ISHRAE,ISO).
  • Proven track record of handling large-scale projects independently.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in pharmaceutical / healthcare / cleanroom HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient and green building HVAC solutions.
  • Familiarity with validation and testing requirements (like RH, temperature, differential pressure, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50, ₹100,000.00 per month
