Job Title: Performance Test Engineer

Experience: 6+ Years

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer with a strong background in performance, functional, and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in JMeter, Postman, Selenium, and experience working with UAT and Jira for test management and defect tracking. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure application scalability, stability, and reliability under varying loads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using Apache JMeter.
  • Conduct different types of performance testing — Load, Stress, Endurance, and Spike testing.
  • Create and execute API tests using Postman and validate backend responses and performance.
  • Perform functional and regression testing using Selenium WebDriver (UI validation and automation).
  • Collaborate with business teams during UAT to validate user scenarios and ensure readiness for production.
  • Analyze performance results, identify bottlenecks, and provide tuning recommendations.
  • Work closely with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to resolve performance-related issues.
  • Prepare detailed performance test reports and share insights with stakeholders.
  • Log and track performance defects using Jira and ensure timely closure.
  • Participate in agile/scrum meetings to provide testing updates and feedback.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing.
  • Strong knowledge of JMeter – scripting, correlation, parameterization, and result analysis.
  • Experience in API Testing using Postman (REST/SOAP APIs).
  • Good understanding of Selenium WebDriver for functional and regression testing.
  • Exposure to UAT processes, including coordination with business stakeholders.
  • Experience using Jira for defect tracking, reporting, and test management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) and version control systems (Git).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for identifying performance bottlenecks.

Knowledge of web architecture, HTTP protocols, and database performance basics
