Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in transformer design or related fabrication-intensive industries. The ideal candidate should be experienced in mechanical drafting, proficient in AutoCAD, and capable of independently handling mechanical aspects of transformer design and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and create engineering drawings for transformer components and assemblies.
  • Design mechanical parts and enclosures for power and distribution transformers.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed manufacturing drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Perform sheet metal design, layout planning, and material nesting for optimized fabrication.
  • Work closely with the electrical design team to ensure mechanical compatibility and integration.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or equivalent) for 2D drafting and 3D modeling.
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, client specifications, and internal guidelines.
  • Participate in design reviews, identify improvement areas, and support continuous product development.
  • Coordinate with vendors and the production team for smooth execution and fabrication support.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (Diploma preferred).
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in transformer design, fabrication, or heavy engineering industries.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with hands-on drafting experience.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with nesting tools for sheet metal layout optimization.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, tolerancing, and fabrication processes.
  • Good mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of standards related to transformer manufacturing is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25, ₹45,000.00 per month
