Design Scope:

  • HV/LV winding designs up to 10 to 20 MVA/33 kV

  • Inverter duty transformers:

* Must design for non-sinusoidal loads, harmonic mitigation, thermal stress

  • Hermetically sealed units:

* No conservator—requires accurate oil expansion and pressure compensation analysis

* Short circuit calculation

* Costing, Core & Winding diagrams, GTPs, vector group layouts, tap changer connections, Radiator & Tank Calculations

Type Test Experience:

  • Should have hands-on experience coordinating or witnessing type tests:

* Lightning impulse, temperature rise, short circuit withstand, etc.

  • Familiarity with NABL-accredited labs (e.g., CPRI, ERDA)

Software:

  • AutoCAD Electrical, Excel-based design tools

Candidates preferred who have done designs for distribution transformer,10 MVA -33 KV and Inverter Duty Transformer (IDT)
