Job Summary:

The Receptionist is responsible for welcoming patients and visitors, managing front desk operations, and supporting smooth communication within the hospital. The role ensures a positive patient experience and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients, visitors, and attenders professionally and guide them to the appropriate departments.
  • Manage patient registration, collect basic details, and update information in the system.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for doctors and diagnostic services.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and redirect calls to the concerned departments.
  • Verify patient documents, insurance details, and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide information on hospital services, procedures, and waiting times.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff for smooth patient flow.
  • Maintain the reception area: clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Handle billing support, collect payments (if required), and issue receipts.
  • Manage daily reports, files, and assist with basic administrative tasks.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and follow hospital guidelines at all times.

Skills Required:

  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, hospital software)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional attitude and appearance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
