About the Role

This is a full-time on-site role for a Curative Team Lead located in Bengaluru, India. As a Team Lead – Curative, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within the mortgage title process. This position demands a deep understanding of U.S. mortgage operations—particularly curative and post-closing functions—and the ability to lead a team that ensures title defects are identified, analyzed, and resolved with accuracy and speed. The role blends process expertise, leadership, and client engagement, ensuring that every file is delivered error-free and within strict turnaround times. You'll act as a bridge between the operations floor, quality, and client teams—mentoring analysts, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring adherence to SLAs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Curative Analysts, ensuring daily targets and quality standards are met.
  • Review Title Commitments thoroughly to identify and resolve title defects.
  • Handle Judgment and Lien clearance, including obtaining and reviewing required documentation.
  • Manage ordering and verification of payoffs, subordinations, and lien releases.
  • Conduct vesting verification and ensure ownership details are clear and compliant.
  • Perform civil case verification and ensure complete end-to-end title clearance before closing.
  • Oversee municipal lien and IRS/Federal lien verifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Track performance metrics, provide coaching, and ensure adherence to SLAs.
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams for issue resolution and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the Title Curative process (U.S. Mortgage domain).
  • Prior experience in leading and managing teams is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of title commitments, payoffs, liens, and curative documentation.
  • Knowledge and experience working with Escrow processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is beneficial.
