Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collection Manager to oversee our accounts receivable processes and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a background in financial services, enabling them to effectively manage collections while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health of our organisation and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Duties

  • Manage the collection process for outstanding accounts, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue payments.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of accounts payable to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Utilise accounting software to track payments, generate reports, and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Perform data entry tasks related to collections and ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Engage in telemarketing efforts to communicate with clients regarding their accounts, employing excellent phone etiquette.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth financial operations.
  • Train and mentor team members on best practices in collections and customer service.

Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software and data entry systems.
  • Strong analysis skills, with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Experience in financial services or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Excellent phone etiquette, demonstrating professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable processes will be an advantage.
