Job Summary

We are looking for a Chemist with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in peptide synthesis and purification within the pharmaceutical or API industry. The candidate will support research and development, process optimization, and scale-up activities for peptide Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) under GMP guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) using Fmoc/t-Boc chemistry on automated synthesizers or manually.
  • Perform purification of crude peptides using preparative HPLC or flash chromatography techniques.
  • Carry out analytical testing of intermediates and final peptides using HPLC, LC-MS, NMR, and FTIR.
  • Assist in process development, scale-up, and technology transfer to pilot or production scale.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records, batch manufacturing documents, and ensure GMP compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Analytical, Production, and Quality departments.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards and laboratory best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
  • M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry / Peptide Chemistry, or
  • M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience:
  • 1–3 years of practical experience in peptide synthesis and purification in a pharmaceutical or API manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to SPPS (Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis) and Fmoc chemistry is required.
  • Basic understanding of GMP, documentation practices, and regulatory expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
