Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Packaging Technologist based in Bengaluru. The Packaging Technologist will be responsible for designing and developing packaging solutions, ensuring product safety, and maintaining packaging quality standards. Daily tasks include staying updated on packaging trends and technologies. The technologist will also work closely with the Food & Beverage department to ensure that packaging meets regulatory and sustainability requirements.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Packaging Design and Food Packaging
  • Knowledge and experience in Food Technology and Food & Beverage industry
  • Knowledge of procurement of packing/marketing/raw materials.
  • Vendor management, development and project management.
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree in Packaging Technology, Food Science, or a related field
  • Should be able to manage vendors, which includes coordinating with vendors, maintain quality standards at vendors place and should be flexible to travel.
  • Design new concepts for development of new products and maintain technical compatibility to develop concepts into real products.
  • Analyze product cost and prepare schedule plans for effective implementation of projects.
  • Should understand basic commercial terms in the market.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Packaging, Procurement and Manufacturing for newly launched products for smooth supply.
  • Interfaces with other departments to facilitate communication on projects.
  • Coordinate with product launch teams to facilitate product launch as per research findings and in appropriate market. Skillfully get the information from the market and perform market research to understand market requirements and initiate innovative product development.
  • Flexible to travel station and stay at vendors location if needed.
  • Administration of implementing and maintaining ISO documentation as related to NPD Process.
  • Will need to do evaluate sales trend for the new products and suggest corrective action where required.
